Whole Grains are Good!

This week in nutrition school, The Institute for Integrative Nutrition, we are talking about whole grains. Since they get such a bad rap I wanted to take a moment to give you some quick information about them. Some people really do have a lot of success with the low carb diets, but the thing is, those diets are not life long. Eventually you do add carbs back in and eating whole grains is a great way to add healthy carbs to your meals!

BONUS: Meal Ideas

To help you with whole grains and some meal prepping. Here is a sample:

-Sunday make some stir fry (Google a recipe that sounds good to you!) and make extra stir fry and brown rice for the following:

-Make porridge for Monday mornings breakfast from that extra rice

-For Lunch on Monday, add that extra stir fry to a sprouted grain or whole wheat wrap

-Monday dinner, make some fried rice with your favorite sauteed veggies and some eggs (make extra)

-Tuesday, take that leftover fried rice with some steamed veggies for lunch

Seasoning Suggestions:

-Ginger

-Sesame Oil

-Garlic

-Cayenne Pepper

-Himalayan Salt

-Liquid Aminos
