Wellness Wednesday October 5, 2016


Ugh I was so hesitant to share these photos. I used to LOVE sharing my transformation photos, but these post pregnancy ones are proving to be very challenging. My body image, post pregnancy, has NOT been good! AND, I have had a hard time getting rid of a sweet tooth after pregnancy and also finding time to workout. Don’t get me wrong, I am busy, but I am not using THAT excuse. I really just want to be doing stuff with Calista all the time. I don’t want to put her down. I want to snuggle all the time. BUT I have to put myself above that. What can I be to her if I am not healthy; mind, body, and spirit?


There isn’t a ton of change in these photos, but I also didn’t put forth the effort that I know that I can with both my intensity level and nutrition. Not only that, I KNOW that cardio is not a right fit for me to see any significant changes. I did cardio for years and NOTHING happened, but then I did body beast and started lifting weights that my body changed dramatically.


I am pretty sure that I have lost some baby weight and gained other weight. Ugh, something has to give and it has to be me. This isn’t going to magically change on it’s own. So, I made some goals, I am going to start a new program that includes lifting weights, I am going to watch my nutrition better, I cut out my guilty pleasure sugary coffee creamer, and get up every morning for yoga. That means, on work days I have to get up at 4am to get it in! Guess what? Today was my first day and I DID IT!


Additionally, as far as getting back on track with nutrition, although I learned proper portions when I first started the 21 Day Fix, I figured it was time for a refresher. So, I broke the containers out today. This is everything with the exception of my shake and dinner. I am so excited and happy to be back on track! Stay tuned!
