Pet Peeve

So, I went live on my Facebook the other day to talk about this pet peeve I have. Watch it below, then read on to hear a story of what happened a few days later….

So, after that video, I was out shopping a few days later with someone who was trying to return something. The store wouldn’t take it back due to the product being out of season. I admit that is an odd policy and it isn’t on the receipt nor is it readily available, but either way it was $5. Now, if you play your cards right, $5 can go a long way, so if you are hard up for money, then it is important to make that exchange in a timely manor. However, this is not the case, but this person was so irritated that they walked away, leaving the purchases they were going to make and had an attitude. The store employees where kind and even told her to have a good day, but she just walked off closely examining her receipt trying to find where this policy was. She even talked about how ridiculous it was and she was going to call corporate.

To be fair, I remember being like this, but something happened in my life where I realized that its just not worth it. So many things happen to you when you let stuff get to you. Hormones are released, your heart starts to race, and you begin to make decisions that likely are not in your best interest. All of this affects your wellbeing; mental health, physical health and weight loss, stress levels, etc. I don’t know about you, but $5 is not worth that to me.

My point in telling this story is that we are ALL guilty of that at some point. No one is immune! BUT, we can certainly work on it and we SHOULD work on it for our own wellbeing. Try to remember that in an hour what will it matter, tomorrow what will it matter, in the whole scheme of things what will it really matter? Breathe and let it go because we have better things to do. Once you begin to choose love and happiness instead of fear and negativity, your neural pathways in your brain will change making each decision that much easier until positivity is a habit rather than negativity.

I mentioned intentions in the video, if you’re interested in my free ebook, enter your information below and I will have it sent to you.
